On October 22, in Tsakhkadzor General Sport Complex the final phase of the schoolchildren of the National Assembly Cup Tournament was held.

The teams of the RA all marzes, Capital Yerevan and Artsakh Republic took part in the tournament.

According to the results of the championship final phase the team of Syunik Marz was the first, the team of Kotayk Marz - the second, and the team of Shirak Marz – the third.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Vardevan Grigoryan, welcoming the participants of the tournaments in the name of the RA NA President Ara Babloyan, noted that in 2001, when they were initiating to organize the schoolchildren's tournaments. There was some fear connected with the implementation, but today the event is already held for the 17th time. Vardevan Grigoryan congratulated the winners and expressed hope that most of them would become professional athletes.

Welcoming the participants and the winners, the RA Deputy Minister of Education and Science Vahram Mkrtchyan has thanked the organizers of the event, stressing that the cups, which are given by the results of the comparative points, have symbolic meaning. According to him, in reality all participants deserve the prizes.

The National Assembly Cup Tournament was held in 4 phases: inter-class, inter-school, marz and final Republican. The tournament was held in the 17th time, the pupils of the 4th – 6th classes of the general schools took part in it.
